Amalia Steinheimer is an antagonist in the Webtoon Marionetta. She is a scientist who works frequently with Ah'kon and is the granddaughter of the renowned Jonah Steimheimer.
Appearance[]
Amalia has brown hair, pale skin, and wide eyes. Her hair is in a bob with micro-bangs and long side pieces. Her pupils are small. She wears the uniform of a scientist.
Personality[]
Amalia is very expressive and eccentric, behaving in an enthusiastic manner when speaking at a school. She isn't as strict as her coworker Yerik, calling him "uptight" when he says he finds teaching children to be a waste of his time. When he complains about the Anthonn Gremminger Traveling Troupe arriving in Aspett, Amalia replies with "Let them have their fun."[1] However, this lightheartedness conceals a darker and more sadistic personality.

Relationships[]
- Yerik: Amalia works frequently alongside Yerik. Rumors at the center suggest she and Yerik might be romantically involved, but is unclear if this is unfounded. As of episode 47, nothing indicates that they are together in the romantic sense, though Yerik is highly loyal to Amalia.
- Sahed: In episode 46 it is revealed that Amalia’s grandfather, Steinheimer, oversaw Sahed and likely experimented on him as a child. Amalia knows Sahed as the fugitive Ah’kon that ran away and her grandfather’s favorite ‘pupil’.
- Coworkers: In episode 41 Amalia’s coworkers spread malicious rumors about her work ethic and personal life. It seems her coworkers are envious of her station and look down on her, claiming she became colonel because of her grandfather. In Kalgratt, a woman’s role is to be married by 20 and live out her life as a housewife. In this way, Amalia is unique, and these sexist ideals might be part of the reason she has poor relationships with her coworkers (besides Yerik).
